We now differentiate between the requirements for new and revised submissions. You may choose to submit your manuscript as a single Word or PDF file to be used in the refereeing process.
Only when your paper is at the revision stage, will you be requested to put your paper into a 'correct format' for acceptance and provide the items required for the publication of your article.
Please write your text in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these).
Types of papers
There are four types of submission: regular manuscripts for publication as Original Research Articles /Reviews and short fast track manuscripts for publication as Letters or Notes.
Original Research Articles/Reviews should present detailed scientific studies of the geology, mineralogy, and geochemistry of mineral deposits.
Research Advances are intended for fast publication of exciting new scientific results in geology that will be of broad interest.
News and Highlights are intended for fast publication of short accounts of new discoveries that have not reached the maturity to warrant publications as a full Article, and brief descriptions of new prospects.
Original /Review Articles typically should be 10-30 pages in length within the journal (approximately 30-90 manuscript pages of 1600 characters including text, title, references, less space needed for tables and figures).
